95 KA into a 89 hatch?

just to be sure a 95 KA24DE will bolt into my 89 Hatchback with no prolbem right? Like the mounts and stuff?

yes, the motor bolts right into the same motor mounts. But because you have a Single Cam some lines might be different, ie power steering. Also, the Wiring is different as well.

yeah i know that i would need a new ecu and wiring harness but i was just wanted to double check on the motor mounts i wasn't sure. one more thing will the tranny off the sohc mount up to the dohc?

nope. the sohc tranny is compatible but the bellhousing is different so you need to change that.

so basically i need a new tranny to? crap! lol

ok so whats my best course of action? i have a 1989 HB that has a sohc engine and i'm taking that out and putting in a 1995 ka24de engine.

thats what im doing... TURBO SOON!!! (i mite be getting a manifold for 100 bucks, used) Does anyone know if a DE manifold will work on a E?

no the bolt pattern is totally different. And it sucks because theres only like 3 different companies that make a sohc manifold.

I'm going to keep my single cam N/A. But i might switch to dual cam or maybe SR20DE.

does anyone know if this setup comes with the turbo? cus its not metioned in the descrip. if it does come wit turbo then thats a pretty good deal.(im tryin to not do like everyone else and get an SR)

no that doesn't come with the turbo its just turbo ready. basically they just build the **** out of the engine for you so you dont have to. Yeah i like that i'm tired of everyone asking me "are you going to get an SR20" The answer NO damn it lol I really like the KA's and i want to show them that the KA's are a great engine and prove the haters wrong!
