Air Filter

I just put in an air filter wit the adapter.....oh yah i got a DOHC motor....can i put a breather on the hose that connected to the stock air box or cover it up???

I assume you mean the AIV

yes, you can put a small filter on that one, or remove the whole AIV system alltogether.

plug the port for it on your exhaust and pull it out... dead weight and it removes pretty easy... keep it handy for your emissions test comming up cus it will need to be there when it is smoged the next time around... mine is going into the trash... i have another one that i already cleaned up and made look like brand new just in case tenn gets smog checks...

wat do u mean the port on my exhaust...kinda confused on that. oh i get it....neva mind i no wat ur sayin. but the chk engine lite is gonna stay on tho....n wat do i plug it wit???

use a pipe plug from the hardware store... make sure you put plenty of anti seeze on it so that it can be removed when the time comes... just take the tube with you to the hardware store and they can get you the right size...

i have never had an issue with the check engine light comming on with this mod... but i might just be lucky...

I think you got the EGR confused with the AIV

ya i think i do...then again my check engine lite is on for my egr temp sensor....jay u no where that is....it all data says its next to the intake manifold on the exhaust passage but i cant locate it cause theres too much stuff in the way...have u seen it there? cuz that would help!!!

I don't have an S13 at the moment to try to locate it... judging from the FSM pic, it looks like it's below the intake manifold, around where all the other EGR stuff is... I'll try to find it next time I'm around an S13 (and it's daytime LOL)
