Unhappy Auto Trans Problems, Is this COmmon?

With my 240 the trans slips even when the car is warm. If i go pass 1/2 throttle the trans slips and the car goes no where>?

ANyone share this problem, and if so what can i do to help things a little bit, i was thinking of some trans conditioner but I'll see.

Yeah, it just was. THe guy I bought it from just had it rebuilt and they fuct it up. I'm not a big auto guy anyways, I have only five speed cars and i don't like driving an auto, my left foot get's lonely and i don't feel like i'm in control of the car, and it's just not fun to race with an auto, you know what's going to happen before you race.

Anyways I'm asking around to see if anyone has a 5spd laying around, I'm actually rebuilding my 5 spd from my supra and i don't mind some more fun.

Thank you my friend, i'll check that out as soon as i get the new alternator in it. I appreciate the help, i'll do some research to find out where to find such a thing, I just finished automatic transmission section of my drivetrains class.

Thanks again, i'll post back and post a fix for this problem if anyone else runs into it.

Thanks,

Kam

I was tallking to my buddy in drivetrains class today, and he said that it also could be the Throttle valve slipping around in the trans. SO i'm going to be checking the TPS and if that's not it i'll rebuild what i got.
