Bad Valve Cover Gasket

If air can enter into the area covered by your valve cover? Would it affect the car enough to notice a difference in drivability?

If there was a place for air to enter your "valvecover", you would be blowing oil out of the hole. So in my opinion, no. But I'm sure anything is possible.

Good point

Yeah well it is leaking around the right edge of the gasket, prolly about 12 inches, but i guess the pressure is coming out, and doesn't have the ability to take in air when its running. I'm replacing it tonight. Just wanted some info.

the valve cover gasket just holds the oil in. If ur asking if power loss is an issue the answer is no. Just losing lots of oil and having to refill all the time is an issue
