Building N/A power on the Ka engine

I know the basic for building horses like upgraded ecu intake headers and exhaust work . Msd ignition with coil blaster and sun hyper ground. removal of fan replaced by an electrical one. cams pulleys, clutch , light flywheel, port&polish and JWT cams.

Ive heard of upgrading to an aluminum driveshaft and
switching the 9.5:1 pistons to a higher compression pistons.
are these upgrade considerable as far as cost effect and what are the other things that could be done too up increase Hp that i missed out.

i heard SOHC pistons work better in the DOHC. but, maybe you already knew that.

Putting in SOHC pistons will up the Compression I beleive, or was it lower it? I forgot. Both the Pistons and Driveshaft will help you out.

while we're on the subject. when installing 248/248 cams, how many degrees would one need to retard the timing? just making sure. i heard its 8 degrees from TDC or something like that? im not very good when it comes to math.

for jacks like me who didn't search various forums before asking dumb questions. for a 248/248 setup, intake timing is retarded 1.7 degrees on a stock sprocket. on a JWT sprocket timing is advanced .2 degrees? i think. am I getting this right? or is 1.7 degrees the difference when setting the teeth -4 ? too many numbers for me, i think i'll just go with a 248/232 setup. man this is confusing.

if when purchasing cams like from jwt it should have requirements of future mods that should be done im sure if you call them then can help. btw, are those the jwt cams that come by the pair or the set that is just -one- cam.

im sure he sells you what you need to run the engine. ex: 1 cam for sohc, 2 cams for dohc.

oh yea i know i wanted know which engine you had. i know arias has these nice 10.6:1 compression ration pistons. dont know the price i wonder if it would be cheaper to put the sohc piston or those

i have a 95.

EDIT: to answer your question. it would be WAY cheaper to put the SOHC pistons. unless theres any fabrications to the swap. i just heard of this swap being done through a friend of a friend of a friends cousin. i never really looked into it to actually know what has to be done to the DOHC block to make it possible. if any customizations has to be done at all. anyone else care to step in?

yea but is the cost effect worth putting the the sohc piston rather than the 10.6:1 comp ration.

thats alot of compression for the sohc piston (11.1:1). is that even safe against detonation?
Whats the difference between a flattop and a dishedtop piston?

this is where I scratch my head... I dont know about that compression and the results of it. be it detonation or whatever. hopefully someone will jump in.
