can someone help me?

I have a bad starter i tried replacing it but its way too hard i cant really get to it. i got 1 bolt off and the other 2 i couldn't get. what steps do i need to take in able to remove the starter what is the fastest way of replacing it. does the intake manfold have to come off or what??? i tried geting under the car and it was too much of a ***** cuz the tranny is there and ****. please help. thank you

you should be able to get at it if you jack the car up high enough - nothing else special to worry about

i did jack the car up high enough i had the car jacked up sitting on 1 wheel!!!

my friend Vek pulled his S13 tarter out, tested/inspected it, and got it back in in an hour or so... when he goes online I'll tell him to post here for you

I swivel helps. And, there are only 2 bolts holding the starter in....

yah but i couldn't get to the other bolt and what about the starter sanolid or however its spelled does that have to come off too with the starter?

All i did was jack the front end up (use jackstands and disconnect the negative battery terminal! Remember saftey third). First I removed the two connections on the front of the starter. One is like a 12mm bolt and the other one is a plug. I used a screwdriver to get the little catch on the plug out. After that, I used an extension and a u-joint, and had someone guide me from above the car to get the top bolt of the starter out (the one you cant see). The bottom on is simple, so i dont think i need to explain it.

It comes off as an assembly.
