Ok a couple months ago i got my cat-back exhaust hooked up, personally i love it, its loud, obnoxious, and it added some hp. this pycho in my neighborhood called the cops on me for it yelled and threatened me and my dad so my parents want me to remove the pipe and go back to stock i didnt just spend 100 bucks hookin it up to be taking it off to switch back to stock. so is there anyway without gettin a silencer that i could make the sound softer. like mayb a high flow cat or something? any help is appreciated.

 

Take it to an exhaust shop, and have them weld up a resonator.

 

resonator is the best way to go, a high flow cat will make it louder.
enjoy it while you can, i did now i have mine back to stock. yes i had the cops called on me too.

 

If you've got, say, $400 to burn, Apexi makes a nice electronic valve system you can use to quiet your exhaust down when you don't need all that power. If you're po' like the rest of us, I'm with Bryan on the resonator.

 

well the next day my parents sed i have a week to get a new one or ill have to park a mile away from where i live so i just bougt a new pipe wit a silencer, well i didnt actually buy it but my parents did so i cant complain thanks for all ure replies

 

haha, sucks doesnt it? ive had to go through people complaing and cops waiting next to my car in poarking lots so they can write me a ticket when i start it up. well it finally happened last night so ill have to go back to stock.

ive got one, they said i can throw it in and see if it stops all the attention i get. if not its stock exhaust.
