OK - so where's the compression ratio information?

I'm sure the 240's KA24DE's compression ratiuon is above 9:1. Other KA applications may have run lower compression ratios, but the 240's compression ration on the KA is above 9:1.

You mean this pic for the S14?

I don't think those brochures were updated from the sohc ka. If you look on any other website it'll say 9.5:1. Look at carpoint.msn.com

Every website changes the ratio carpoint says 9.2 then 9.5 then 9.2 then 9.5 then 9.2...... don't get me started on kbb.com I think it's just 8.6:1 for the SOHC cause the consensus on the web says it's better to turbo than the DOHC which must have 9.5:1 or 9.2:1

correct me if i'm wrong here(again) but the 91 with a dual cam makes 155hp right? and the 95 makes 155hp-but the 90 makes 140hp. why does
www.courtesyparts.com/nismo/s13/s13_1.htm
sell pistons for the ka24de to bump the cr from 8.6:1 to 9.1:1 if the CR in the dual cam engines are the same? mind you these are FACTORY pistons that they never put in the car to begin with.

what is differnt between the s13 and s14 motor?(this is an honest question-not me tryin to be an *******)

i thought (wrong probaly) that the major differnce between the sohc and doch was the extra cam, better a/f, and timing. oh well, i have the sohc so it really don't matter as long as i can get SOME power till the sr goes in this winter

i'm not sure if this is what you're asking, rudeboy, but here it is anyway-

1989-1990 240sx- KA24E SOHC 140hp
1991-1994 240sx- KA24DE DOHC 155hp
1995-1998 240sx- KA24DE DOHC 155hp

what i mean is that a lot of places i see say the dohc s13 engine makes 155hp with a 8.6:1 CR. but the 95 and up make 155hp with a 9.5:1 CR. it just kinda confuses me seeing that the engines are posed to be the same. you'd think with a CR that high(although it really needs a 10.5:1) it would make more power considering the displacement. it's not worth spending all day debating over but we're like agent moulder and the truth must be known!

nissan just called my new timing cover is in!!!YAY

but anyway look what this one has to say-in confused about the CR thing
www.demiya.cc/240sx/spec.html
do the S13 dohc and S14 dohc have differnt CR?

I still think they just didn't update the ratio information when they changed the engine, but corrected it on the generation change. BTW, rudeboy, those pistons are for the sohc not the dohc.
