my car idles at about 1200-1400 rpm when i start it cold...and I live in North Dakota, where temps are usually about 0 deg. in the winter...and usually, it will not idle there for long, just till the motor get some oil movin through it, then it will sit at about 1000 rpm for awhile till its fully warmed up.
