Question could this be the problem?

well we just discovered we had a leak in our injectors, and my car also has that taching out at 4-1/2 rpm problem, could ht eleaking injectors cause air to get in the system and set off a sensor somewhere and cause the ecu to go into safe mode? just wondering before I go through the hassle of replacing other things that dont need to be replaced, im going to fix the injectors ofcourse but i was just wondering if that could be causing that as well

absolutly correct, injectors messing up can cause this problem you are having. because it's not getting the right amount of fuel, it's making sure not to blow her. Replace them & reset the ecu and you should be set.
