custom Apexi intake...

ok im still a newb....but i was woundering ...since Apexi..intakes dont come with pipes...why not make my own..i was thinking about buying some cheap a$$ cold air from ebay like this one...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...2474834804&rd=1

then throw away that trashy ebay filter and throw on the apexi...but i was ALSO THINKING...what if u rap the cheap a$$ piping with exuasht rap like this one...
http://www.optauto.com/webstore/pro...k=yes&dept=1456

Then I would create an air duct for a little forced air liek this...

would this be any help? tell me what you guys think...
Does anyone have apexi filters? if so. how's the setup?

^^Thats only for exhaust, so the heat of it wont escape as much into the engine bay. There is not such thing as a wrap for intkae from what I know
