ecu reset?

I have heard that there is a way to reset your ecu. Because when you upgrade things like intake and exahust, you can reset the ecu and it will notice your upgrades, and then recalibrate the ecu to match. Is this true, where do i find this reset button. I have a 92 hatch.

Go for it, just take it out before you go to bed and then put it back when you wake up, you'll be good to go.

Well I took my bat out about two days ago, and the next morning I noticed a big improvment. Thanks for the help.
