Electrical Problem
Ok there is this old guy by my house selling a 240 for pretty cheap and I am thinking about buying it, however he says it has a strange "unknown" electrical problem.
He says that the car will drain a brand new battery in three days...but that sounds simple right? the alternator.
BUT!! he says he had the alternator removed and tested and supposedly it works just fine but the car will still drain batteries..
Is there any other way something like this could happen? is it an easy fix or not?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I believe there is a current draw at all times. You will have to hook up a meter to read the draw. If draw is present then start by pulling one fuse at a time. You have to know what the fuses run also. If the fused is pulled and the draw stops this will at least narrow your search on the problem. Make sure the key is off and doors closed. Make sure all lights are turned off inside and out. If you do not know how to hook up a meter to read current draw maybe someone you know, know's. It makes it easer to find.Hope this helps.

Somethings grounding out, or not shutting off like it should. I would make sure when they did a bench test on the altenator they load tested it. I had some moron do that to me at some place. Argued with him for a few minutes then left. Went to autozone and someone with half a brain tested it and sure enough it was bad.
