Im pretty sure its OK if you want to disconnect it but, follow the steps that wikd240 say and plug off any open lines after u disconnect the Emissions equipment.....

PS I dont know if you will pass inspection if you have this stuff removed, so be warned

most aftermarket intakes do not give a spot for tha pair valve... but removing it or unhooking it will make you not pass visual inspection in some states... most states now days... when emissions time comes just reinstall your stock intake...

as far as the plug... i had some success with getting a gas line fitting from lowes... it is either a 13/16 or a 15/16 gas flair nipple to 3/4 pipe thread and then bought a 3/4 pipe thread cap... put them in and locktite the hell outta it so it wont fall out mine did once... then check it every now and again to make sure it is not comming loose...

the best thing i can tell you to do is... remove the manifold and weld the hole up ... do not damage the threads so that you can hook up both the egr pipe and the pair valve if you need to have inspections done... then remove the big ole box from your car...

if removing the cruise control just pull the pump and the cable... your car will still drive and function fine without it...

removing the egr valve is in the free mods thread... it actually adding horsepower is up for debate... what it is actually doing is recirculating some of the exhaust gasses to lower emissions... same with the pair valve .... removing them will help in 2 ways... one is it will keep the air charge cooler by not allowing hot exhaust gasses into the intake... and the other is it keeps the incomming air charge cleaner...

now if this adds power it will be very small amounts... but anything that helps the air charge run cooler and cleaner is a good idea in my book...
