|

condition of car what did you do to it smells smoke if any from rear etc.. more info buddy |
no smoke from the rear no funny smells it simply just acts up when i am at 5000 rpm the engine is bone stock i have taken the emissions stuff off of it but thats it.
|
check engine light on? anything else acting up? hows your clutch/tranny? might have to open up the valve cover and check the clearances on your intake/exhaust shafts
|
no check engine light and the engine was just rebuilt.
|
did you plug the egr valve?
just rebuilt, have you check timing also what is the gapping on your spark plugs?? |
gap is good egr is plugged. and the timing is a 0 degrees right now.

because the ecu measures several different things using the speed sensor (not just speed) yes this could quite possibly be the problem |

Only a little, I'm afraid the electrical system of any car is my arch enemy! :anger: electrical stuff is hard to get right, and time consuming to fix....

I can't remember if the speed sensors on our cars are two wire AC reluctors or if they are three wire Hall effect sensors. Is it just two wires or is it three? If it's two you will be ok whatever way, it will still read correctly. If it's three you need to find out which terminals are which...one wire on a hall effect is a 5v reference to the ECU...get it wrong and you could fry it.

It was two guys and I took it out to the strip to test the car out and it does not cut out any more the car ran an 18.80 my first time out and i still think the car is not running properly lol but running none the less. I do believe that it is running rich now i believe this because when i let the car idle for some time it seems like i have to clear out the engine and it backfires a lot when i decelerate. Now i am wondering if this could be because i have no exhaust (i.e. muffler and cat) and the engine is in need of a tune or just a little more back pressure. And or maybe its just me what have some of you guys ran with your stock Ka24e on the strip...
