Exclamation engine trouble

Hey guys i gotta bit of a problem. I was driving my car and out of nowhere it just started shaking and gradually got worst. It also became low in power and it was difficult to excelerate. When i brought my car to my friend's house i popped the hood and steam started to come out and he checked each one of the spark plugs and there was water in 2 of the holes. i am just wondering what this could be a mechanic who looked at my car a few months ago said that my car needed a new freeze plug, but i don't know what he was talking about. so if anyone has any info or advice it is all welcomed thanx.

Well, it sounds like a head gasket problem to me. Freeze plugs are located inside the engine block. If one would have popped out, the coolant would have come out of the block. Check the engine oil to see if it has a milkshake color to it. If it does, it could be a bad head gasket, cracked head or something warped. Sorry to hear this happen to you. Hope some of this might help

DAMN!! I hope its none of that, if it is that then he would porb end up getting a dsm. I was thinking it was a spark plug wire and hoping. and o yea there was only water in the #3 spark plug.

That is really odd that there is only water in the #3 plug hole. If it runs, it should be taken to a shop and have a coolant leakdown test done. Or do a compression check to see if the head gasket is messed or not.

Im sorry to hear that. I can tell u a few things to do that can be done yourselves. One is just by checking the motor oil and seeing if it has a milkshake color to it. Another is doing the compression check to see if the compression is good and if the head gasket is good. And you could always do a visual check of the motor. One question, is there any steam coming from the exhuast, and did the car overheat at all?

Next thing I can say to do is do a compression check to see if it is the headgasket. Or if you got the tools and the time, pull the head off and inspect it that way.
