Fuel Injectors Corroded?

ok heres the deal...my 240 has been in a garrage for 2 yrs before i bought her....she runs like crap...i found out that it had the same gas in it for that long so i flushed the gas out and noticed it was dark black and chunky....so i replace the fuel filter with putting in new gas and she started to run better but still dosent run good....i took out one of the injectors today and i have never looked at one before (kinda new to automotive mechanics)

is this a corroded injector....i notice alot of black "gunk" around the mesh stuff on the injector....

that is a side feed injector and all the gunk you found around it came from the fuel line... if the screens are plugged up with trash then they cannot get fuel into them... that would cause drivability issues...there is also the fact that the old fuel has turned to varnish and might have the injectors sticking... there is no fix for this without usually causing damage to the injectors... (not that you did not do enough to it already when removing it)... you can remove the other injectors without doing any damage to them and clean the screens off... see if that works if not the only other choice is to replace them with new units... not cheap but that is what happens when you run old fuel through the system... count yourself lucky that it even ran with fuel that old in it...

ok i just finished working with it....replace the ingectors with fuel rail...and got a new radiator cuz my was cracked....

but it still runs like crap....and now there is a crapload of white smoke coming out (not bluish)

when i checked the oil it was VERY low to...the person who had this car before me didnt take good care of it i think but i will see

what could the problem be...it still runs like crap????

let it run for a little bit...the computer needs to learn over again. un plug the battery for 30 min and start it up let it run by it self. dont rev it up dont do anything. once it starts to not smoke so much drive it a little bit. very slow and dont beat on it.

also, you might want to get some seafoam...it doesn wonders. do a search on here for seafoam and read the results.

let me know what you want to do with the old injectors too
