Help Fellas!

Wondering if someone can give me some insight into my problem...... So, my alternator went bad on the whip (95 SE KA24DE) and I picked up a 110 amp Nissan Quest alternator to replace it (me being me figured if its bad, might as well upgrade it) I drill out the holes i need to get everything in, and the new alternator wont rotate up enough to fit onto the upper bracket. With a little searching I find that if i loosen the upper bracket I should be able to squeeze it under the throttle body and the 3 different hoses and affix my belt. WRONG. So I am stuck in a bit of problem do I A: figure out a way to loosen the first belt (have tried loosening the tensioner, already have fan and shroud out) so I can get a new alternator belt at a new length OR B: Am I stupid and doing something incorrectly?

those bracket tensioner bolts are sometimes a PITA so spray wd40 on them so they can move a little better and use a big wrench on it to move them.

12mm socket or wrench.... if you are looking at the PS pump, the bolt is at the 3oclock position.
