help stuck and deadline

hey yall, i'm in serious crap right now. its midnite right now and i have to move out of my apt by tomorrow nite but my car is all in pieces in my garage. i was in the process of changing out my timing chain and guides. i followed the steps from 240.org about "jason's timing chain install" and everything was going fine and smooth till th epart about removing the front cover. i checked and rechecked all the screws that needed to be taken off with the diagram it had and all seem to be removed. i even took off the 2 screws from the oil pan that says it just needs to be half loosened, however i still can't get the front cover off. i pryed, pulled and strained trying to get that damn thing off, but all in vain. could the liquid gasket be that strong? i was able to space out alittle on both sides but none on the bottom part of the cover. anyone have any ideas?

ps if you need pictures to further clarify how its stuck, let me know where exactly you want me to take the shot(s)

ok, my service manual has that you have to drop the oil pan. the other install may have just gotten away w/ loostening those screws tho.
also, you can use a chisel to cut the gasket, but only tap it very very lightly. or you'll start leaks!i'm checking my manual right now for anything more

k. i have an 89. but this is what i have.... this is also the manual... some corners can be cut. maybe other ppl on the fourm know what they are. i don't... i'm just listin it straight outta my manual.
1. disconnect battery terminals
2. drain coolant
3. pull radlator shroud & crank fan.
4. take off the belts
5. take out the spark plugs
6. Set #1 piston @ T.D.C. on it's compression stroke
7. reove power steering pump. idler pulley, crank shaft pulley, oil pump w/ oil pump drive spindle, and rocker cover
8.remove oil pan.
9. pull front cover.

that's it up to the front cover... maybe this has given you an idea. good luck.

thanx guys. i double tripple and quadruple checked all the bolts, used mirrors and everything, but it still won't come off. i strained my biceps in doing it so i guess i'm pulling weaker and weaker. i tried sticking a screwdriver all around and prying, but i didn't want to pry too hard as to damage the aluminum and cause leaks. btw i have 91 240 if that helps at all. didn't make the deadline so i had to push it out into the street.
i'll post pictures up soon
