How much power do you gain by swapping the KA24E pistons into a KA24DE?

Its not that simple. Along with changing th e pistons, you much also tune your fuel system to accomodate for the cahnge in CR, and without it youll run lean and kill the motor... all in all, I forgot how much HP... so dont quote me, but im thinking between 10-20 HP?

With the E pistons you need an SAFC. You will need to adjust throttle correction in the + numbers to dump more fuel.
What the e pistons can yield is pretty impractable to tell you what type of HP it can make.
They could make 10 more hp or 50 HP depends on bolt on's , and the way the engine was tuned.....

i have a question, does this have a good effect on torque? I love that the KA is so torquey, and i want to preserve that. does this mod help?

Yeah.
On a side note, I didnt know you still came here vin. It seems there are very few of the original club240'ers still around.

Hey bigvin, a megasquirt would solve the tuning issue but can the stock injectors provide sufficent fuel for the compression raise?

werd is that it bumps compression to 11:1, and youll probably need bigger injectors bada$$240. nobodys mentioned this yet but im pretty sure youll need to run pemium fuel also, due to it being a high comp motor now. i plan doing this in the future. but with cams you have to get groves made on the top of the piston so your valves and pistons dont hit. right vinnie?

Wouldnt putting groves in your pistons slightly lower your CR? I know this is the case for an 1995 cherokee stroker motor I built a few years ago. You'd have to dish out pistons to 30 cubic mm so you wouldnt have to run preminum.

So if I put the E pistons in and want to cam the engine I'd have to have groves made into the pistons? And what size injectors would I need to run E pistons?

No. You need to REALLY watch the lift and duration on any aftermarket cams. Yes, youll need high octane (premium, possibly with additives, depending on ignition tuning) fuel, and some have said stockers work fine, others use SR injectors.

How about a 276/276 cam could I do that with E pistons? And would 550cc injectors work?

dont quote me or anything but id think 550cc are too much on n/a. were talking less than 200horses here. im sure sr 370s will be just fine. and yea putting gooves in the pistons will lower comp ratio but im sure you could gain it back with high comp rings and if your rollin the dough you could reduce the quench area in the head.

Also, I think with 276/276 cams, you would want to beef up your valve train if you plan on reving high. Brian Crower makes new springs and retainers which you would probably look into.

ca and vq? (mabey it was vg) springs are interchangeable according to zilvias na ka thread so that gives you more options. kas are so badass. imaging a 2.6 stroker ka with itbs, cams, full valve train, high comp, reving to 8.5 or 9k, pure sex. id love to see those n/a ka's in those baja trucks. i can never find any info on em.
