i just bought a 1991 hatchback but

i have a problem with the motor when i start it it goes straight to 1500 rpms and when i rev it up to 4000rpms it double revs and when i go for a drive it drives itself help me someone

what could it be vaccum or fuel or i dont know i have no clue

check your throttle cable for slack or over tightness
