does it knock all the time or just when you
push the gas? does it get louder as the gears change? it could be your rod bearings but untill you explane more im just guessing

It knocks all the time, and when you press the gas it gets a little louder and it knocks faster

I hope not but it could be a rod...
but I think its a rod bearing wich is easy to replace. drain oil remove oil pan and replace each rod bearing .

How can you tell if it is a rod or just the bearing?

Will you be able to tell when the oil pan and the gasket comes off by looking at the bearings? Or do you have to put everything back together and fire it up and see what happens?
