idle problem, on a 240? no wayyy!!!... i wish..

soooo this is boggling me
when im pulling up to a stop (on or off the brake) and im not in gear, the idle goes down to a couple hundred RPM, an stays there till i come to a complete stop, the hunts for a second or 2, then settles back to normal

ne ideas?

i have seen alot of idle problems, but not one like tihs before.
i havnt started digging into the engine yet either but im lookin for ne sort of info that i can find before i do, nething helps!

a drop in idle speed the way you describe is indicative of a faulty aac valve. it's part of the iacv. you'll need an ohm meter to test it. iirc you should have 10 ohms or there about.

awsome! ill try that out
i was gonna go through an clean out the PCV, and MAF, an throttle body and a couple other things as well jus to make sure, the idle adjustment should be fine so i wont touch that, an the timing i have advanced 5 degrees an i no the ignition system is all good, so that wont be touched either
but thanks bro

there anything i can do with the TPS? any sort of adjustments or anything?

all the things you mentioned are probable possibilities but from your description the i'd say that the aac is more likely. since you have a 95 it might be obd II which would make it easier to diagnosed. regardless if it's obd I or II you should check for codes. not all the things mentioned will give you a code though.
