Jerking Problem
 

Once in a while my car will start to jerk violently, and when i rev it in neutral, the rpms kinda jump. anyway, i need some help, what do you guys think it could be?

hmmm...could be.

Anyway, i replaced the fuel filter and the gas that came out of the filter was quite black. I also dumped a can of injector cleaner in the tank. Hopefully that fixes it.

well....things havent gotten much better...It started acting up after i filled up my tank. Any thoughts? Oh, also my check engine light came on...

Dont know, i havent had it checked and i dont have the tool. Would a '95 240 use OBD II?

You can get OBD2 decoders at JCwhittney. I payed 39.00 for mine.
If you are getting a jerking problem you may want to check your timing chain and timing chain tensioner, the components could be locking up, or the chains could be stretched.

I dont think it is that,cause it doesnt do it all the time. And it only seemed to do it when it was warm out (23 degrees and above), i think there might be some water in my gas tank.

I sorta had the same problem ...I tracked it down to my injectors were not getting a good ground....

i don't think 95 is obd2. i hear 96 is, but 95 is 1
