alright i know someone that also comes to the forums a lot! He helped me firgue out the the same thing. What i would do is this. 1. dont go over 30 over. 2. buy forged rods and pistons. 3. take your block, crank, forged rods and pistons and tell them u want the block bored 20 over. and have them machined ur crank and re-install everything back in.

Right now my setup is this.. I'm gonna my shop to bore mine 20 over with Pauter Rods and Arias Pistons. Then i'll install a metal head gasket. go with 15 psi of boost and put the top end back together and get stage 2 turbo cams.

Maybe the person that helped me out a lot will post here and give u more info

i have to 40 over because of the cylinders....head is already getting decked and metal gasket, new crank and rods....port and polish head..the whole works........the head work is already done..just waiting for the pistons to finish the bottom end ...going .40 over shouldnt be that hard..wiseco even offers some .60 over pistons. i just wondered if any one knew of a distributor other than the manufactuor(sp)..wiseco has them but i cant order direct from them...boost designs said he had them for 440 bucks but now is having problems finding them..everything is stripped waiting on pistons....its not like i plan on doing this in 6 months or anything...it is at the machine shop now

the next size up pistons are .20 over .5mm takes the bore out to 90 mm... finding .40 over pistons in any form is going to be a pain in the *** because they are not a piston that is called for... even finding rings that are bigger than .20 over is a pain in the ***... i know i need a set... if you were to order custom pistons then you are going to pay a grip... and .40 over pistons are custom...
the size would be like 90.834... or some **** like that... none standard size = more money for one offs...
projectmy240 listens well... i was the one to tell him about the motor...and in my opinion boring it out that large will make for weak cylinder walls... thats a problem you dont want to have to deal with...
my block is 20 over and that is the safest i feel it can be over bored... get the .20 over and you will be happy... or pay for the custom .40 over pistons and have thin walls and run the risk of head gasket failure or worse yet collapsed cylender walls...

stock pistons are 89mm so .20 over is 89.5 and .40 over is 90...i find them on the charts...wiseco offers 40 over---which is 90mm--but i cant order direct from wiseco.....i have the service manual for my car( from a friend at nissan) and max bore is .90 and that is nissans max bore...because of the scarring in the cylinder i have to go 40 over......wiseco even offers .60 over but that is too thin for me....im not trying to argue or anything but trust me after you spend 2 weeks looking nothing up but ka24de pistons online the numbers kinda sticks

why is .40 over crazy? that is taking 1mm off of a cylinder wall that max spec from the service manual is over twice that...it must not be too crazy if wiseco has pistons on the shelf that are .60 over...must be some demand for them..please dont flame.... if you havent or dont know anyone who has then please just dont answer..i am asking a serious technical question..
