KADE Cams

Ok, now i did some searching, but didnt come up with an answer cause every topic seemed to dance around the answer to my question.
The question I had was: Are Altima cam shafts compatible with the 240sx KADE, and would I be alright to used them if I cant find 240 cams??

Like I said I searched but every topic seemed to be centered around the rumor that the altima cams gave a power increase when used in combo with the 240 cams. Im not that concerned wit the power increase right now, I just want to get it running and then worry about performance after the car is kosher for the most part. So if anybody could shed some light on this situation, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

No, Altima's cam are not to be used. On S13(91-94) 240" intake and 248" exhaust cams are used. On S14(95-98) 232" intake and exhaust are used. Swapping cams from S13 to S14 is common, either drop both cams in or drop 2 exhaust cams in with little modification.

Im not so sure i know what your saying. It seems, from what your saying, as if I can used cams from any dohc 240, but not the altima. Is that right????

Several reasons...
The ka24de timing chain for the altima has a different combination of links.
Location of the distributor is different.
Rear cam seals are different.
Overall it won't work.
Thats like saying I'll put a front Wheel drive Altima engine, in my rear wheel drive 240sx.......
