I've searched for videos and found very little.

I had a clip of an 11 second run in Duy's 240SX.

Other than that, all I've found is a couple of street racing 240 videos, none of which show anything close to an 8 second run.

I'm not doubting they exist, but I just haven't seen them. If you find a link, please pass it on. Unfortunately, proof of 8 second doorlammers is really easy to find.

Hey Night, I have a '89 S13, doesnt that make it harder and a little more tedious work to fit that RB25DET under the hood, what I am asking is it insanely hard.....From what I have seen is that the SR20DET puts out 205hp and 206tq, but is that to the tires is the question......and thats stock boost as well as everything else........I do live in Canada too so that doesnt help out much with resources.......unless any of you can help.....

how am i lazy? as much as i would love to get dirty and do the swap myself..i really just dont trust myself nor do i have the tools to do the job..therefore i have no choice...if you wanna come to long island and bring some tools you can guide me through....oh i didnt think you would want to so thanks anyway..

Plus im also 18 and i dont really have a fatherly figure to help with something like this....so please...dont say im lazy...
and for the record...ive read every website i could find online about the sr20det swap...and still i dont have enough confidence in myself to do it correctly...i would just end up paying someone money to fix the mess i made..

Ron

The swap is the same minus moving your power steering if you want to keep power steering (which also requires more work). The swap is easy....about the same as the SR with less wiring. The SR puts out about 175 WHP, not 205. I have seen many dyno results of stock SR's. I also know a guy in Japan that dynoed his stock R33 GTS-T (RB25DET) and had 249 WHP. I can ship clips to Canada, it's not a problem. I have lots of resources for these engines. Call me or email me.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. there's an 8 second Skyline in Feb edition of Super Street magazine....on street tires. Holds world record for Skylines. He has over 1300 HP.

I think that may be an argument for the V8 side. The world record holding Skyline only pulls an 8? I'm assuming then that 8 second RB powered cars are rare... while 8 second V8 powered cars are not.

Before you get defensive - I am not hating on the RB. Great motorr and I would much rather swap one in than a V8. Of course, if I had a spare v8 lying around and no money for an RB my swap ideas would probably lean that way.

we'll just have to wait and see how the possible Twin turno v8 that the new gt-r will do.

Yeah, but how many Mustangs can go nearly 200 mph? Sure a Corvette could, but the comparison was with the Mustang.
