Well, I was driving back from mcdonalds (wifey is gone, no home cooked food.) and I noticed my speedo was at 0. I have a digital one and the lights were on but the numbers jumped from 0-50 then it went back straight down to 0. It kept shooting out numbers here and their. I don't know how to fix this problem, I searched for any threads or post but they are vague or their problems are not solved. Somebody please Help!!!!!!!

i dont know what causes it to do this... i have one that only works hakf the time... that is what most people get with their speedo... it could be the speed sensor is messed up on your transmission or the speedo itself it going out... the nissan dealer around here sells the speedo for 213... i dont know about the peed sensor... i will check on a price today while im at work...

Yeah same here my Analog Speedo is really F'd up. It dosent work at all until I drive for like 30minutes, then it flickers from like 0 - 65mph then it goes to the correct speed.
Its probally the sensor but I dont wanna spend loot on it and im too lazy as well.

 

Yeah. I want to know what causes it so it doesn't keep happening again. Mines digital, so i go off the rpm's or I go behinds a car that seem like its going a decent speed. It would be nice if someone who had experience with this problem would suggest something, or else more people later on will start a new thread like me waiting for someone to give the answer on what we "should do" to fix the problem, what causes it, so we don't have any un-answered questions. thanx

Thanx, hopefully that will work. Sounds like it's for speedo's that don't have a display though. Mine displays but the numbers get all out of wack!
