need help with KA

i just got a s13 with a bad Ka
the ka was ran until seizure
we took off the valve cover only to find small metal shavings in the oil
anyway im just trying to figure out if i should even start to tear the engine down to find out if i could rebuild it

would that be a waste of time

would be due to the price and availability of a ka motor, with everybody doing swaps, the old ka motors need a new chasis to call home.

I personally think you should go ahead and just rebuild the motor. You have perfectly good motor. When done properly the ka24 motor will meet or exceed the performance of the sr20 motor.

i vote for rebuild as well. and no, building a ka from the ground up is not a waste of time.
