O.K I am having problems with timing. when I try and start my car
it just turns and not turnes over but turns like there is no compression. I just got done changing the timing chain(top chain,ka24de) and the cams . I set every thing to top dead center,
from the crank to the bottem timing chain to the top chain and the destributer . what else could it be? Man I'm going crazy without my s13. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!
thanx

interesting breather placement ;) If you want to advance/retard your timing, take a 10mm socket and loosen up the nut on the distributor. It'll be sticking out of the head.

Loosen that and slide your distributor all the way towards the front of your car. That just advanced your timing, a lot. Start it up, it'll ping like you're running cheap gas. Loosen that 10mm nut again and slide the dist. towards the back of your car slowly until it stops pinging. Wait..your car doesnt start. Well, do all that stuff until it starts up. If that doesnt help, its not your timing. :dunno:

hmm...

are you SURE your cam timing is correct?
i ran into this the first time i did a timing kit swap. it has to be perfect or you will run into problems.....

your distruibitor and oil pump shaft may be spun 180 degrees also....

hmmm...did the ca run before the chain kit swap??
