My lil brother just got a 95 240sx yesterday from our aunt for his first car and i will be driving it for awhile since somebody ran a redlight and hit me a couple weeks ago but the thing is i have found out in my one day of driving that even in stock form the car is too fast for him and i would like to know if there was some way to lower the performance to make it slower so he wont kill himself when he finally gets his license

and a little background my little bro is the kind of person that says alot of stupid things about how someone should drive hence the reason for making the car slower

I can't really think of a way to do that without throwing a check engine light.

I mean, you could duct tape over half the air filter... throw one a 1" section of exhaust pipe... unplug one of the spark plugs... and play with the timing... that sort of thing. There are aftermarket companies that can set your rev limiter to whatever you want. It would be fairly obvious when the fuel cut-offs turned on at 4k RPM's though...

yea im gonna do the usual things like colder plugs a more restrictive aircleaner retard the timing and if i can sneak a tornado in the intake ducting

Common things to make the car perform a little less would be T3/T4, 750cc injectors, FMIC, N1 Exhaust.

you could replace the ignition system with something like a msd and limit the rpms to about 2.5k or something like that.
