New SE...Whats next?

I have just gotten a 96 se auto. Cars runs great. Aside from the regular, plugs, wires and normal tune up...what else do you recomend. The car has 140,000 miles on it. Z32 fuel filter? I am half way thru a 5 sp swap(thanks Dustin) so that will be done. Timing chain? Tensioner? Diff Lube? What? I will not be doing an SR swap. Later I will look into a KA-Turbo kit or leaaving it NA. I am just looking for the normal stuff a 240sx needs to have replace.
Thanks LMK

change all cracked vacuum hoses along with cracked radiator hoses. get a new fuel filter, z32 for better throttle response. change spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor. run some injector cleaner through fuel system and/or change o rings on fuel injectors. clean maf and throttle body. change engine temp sensor. change o2 sensor. clean up iacv. adjust timing and idle to stock specs. top of fluid resevoirs. bleed all hydraulic systems. change tranny fluid, engine fluid, diff fluid. replace all bushings. change brake pads and/or newer/better rotors all around. change accessory belts. vacuum the car. wash the car. adjust pedal free play on throttle pedal and brake pedal. adjust throttle cable. get some new tires. take off timing chain guides. fix any rust. set the time on your dash clock. retorque steering rack and pinion nuts and/or bolts.

do all that before you start modding.

Sweet thanks Stinky..That what I was talking about. Its an auto tranny just drain and replace with ATF right? No flushing. No about removeing the chain gudies. I am confused.....replace or just remove?

the chain guides on the KA24DE engine get worn out over time and can cause fatal engine damage if not removed. there is a total of 2 timing chain guides. one can be accessed from the top of the motor by taking off the valve cover. the other one is a bit lower and you'll need to take off the upper front timing chain cover. sounds too confusing? go to this link:

$5 solution to the DOHC chain rattle problem
http://www.**********/faq/articles/ti..._questions.htm

for the ATF fluid, i am not sure about automatic transmissions. i would take it to a tranny shop to get it done since you'll have to take out the tranny to access the torque converter which is pretty damn heavy.

Things i'de also like to add in replacing parts:
Change PCV Valve
Change the vacuum valve on brake booster hose
Change Air Filter
Check all fuses
Check ECU Codes: http://www.**********/faq/articles/ecm_codes_doch.htm

good luck, get that 240 repaired first!
