Please Need Help Asap!!!!

ok i got my replacment eninge to put in....but the guy i bought it from said the chain was making that sound that it makes when it gets old or stretches... thats no problem im going to put my old chain from my old engine...the only problem is i dont know if the new engines timing chain has jumped a tooth or not....

how can i check? i would line up all the dots with the colord chain links....but theres only like one colored chain link per chain....what the heck?!

please help have to give engine houst back tomorrow! lol

if you look real close at an angle you will see there are three mrked links one is yellowish and the other two are a tent shade of blue.
here is a diagram of the correct cam and cam sprocket timeing.
