Hey Does anyone know if the radiator fan is replaced with an electric fan, if hp is gained. If so what is a good electric fan to get, Also what dimensions is recomended or size?

replacing the belt-driven fan with an electric unit might give you a little extra power, but nothing too noticeable...

if you wanna go electric, Flex-A-Lite is a god brand...

as far as sizes go, 2-10in fans, 2-12in fans, or 1-12in would suffice, i myself would most likely get one 12 oe two 10s...

Correct me if I'm wrong but the stock fan is attached to the crank so the only thing you'd be doing is losing a little rotational weight.

well, wherever its connected, you are right, all you would lose is some rotational weight...

But my friend tell me that hp is gained by doing this cause the belt isn't being use to drive the fan. I duno I just hear its better. but I know its not a noticable gain but anything for a lil more hp in the stock ka24de

sound so "Honda"...

... well, technically when you remove anything driven by the crank, you "free up" some HP because the engine has less to spin, but I'd say that the hp gain on a KA isn't that big of a difference. In the long run maybe, but say on a stocker KA you'd get more HP gains doing other stuff.

You might be able to find an OEM electric fan in a junkyard for around $40... someone suggested this to me so I'll pass it on to you
