Question Re-sleeving???

I read somewhere maybe it was on this forum actually that you can re-sleeve the KA and its almost as good as dropping in a new engine. I googled it and came up with nothing cause i guess i just dont know what i would be "re-sleeving" so if enyone has eny info on this it would be great. Cause i want to put new cams in and start to rebuild her down the road but if i can do this and get her a few more years on her life that would be great.

i dont know if you can re sleeve the ka or not... but i do know that you can take it to a machine shop get it bored 20 over .5 mm and put in new pistons and rings... with new rod and main bearings... should be as good as new... the machine work can be done for 100.00 bearings will run you about 85.00 for both main and rod... rings go for about 40 bucks... the pistons you can find for bout 300.00 for forged units bout 200.00 for stock cast ones... rebuilding the head would run you about 45.00 for new valves 50.00 for stock springs and retainers... 150.00 for cams and a new timing chain set for 145.00... now my prices in the sticks are going to be a lil less than some of the bigger cities... but with a lil searchin you can find em at a good price... like i found a new crank kit with rod and main bearings round here for 200.00 just gotta look and spend smart...
