rebuild or new engine?

i decided to place my front end conversion idea behind me as a later.

I figured.. why dish out $1,200 for looks over life. No?

well, i was wondering. am i better rebuilding my ka24de (over 140,000 miles) or should i just purchase a brand new one? Im not into the sr20, too much time needed and money.

or should i get a new engine and maybe add some stronger internals and stuff?

its cheaper to go with the new engine, if your only adding bolt ons. but if you plan on going with nitrous or a big turbo down the road some time do the rebuild with the forged internals. it really depends on your plans.

i'd try and find a low mileage KA probably easier to modify, cleaner, and the peace of mind that it is in good shape

Good to see that your not jumping on the sr bandwagon

ATTARCO will sell you a used KA24e or DE for about $895. They ask for a deposit of $200 which is a total of $1095. But you get the money back once you give them your old core.
They also sell used transmissions. All used engines have under $60,000miles and have been tested, and come with warrantee.

lol, what's this? Big V is talking blasphemy!!! hahaha, j/k. Do you have any pics of your 510? I was talking to this guy who's been a Nissan master tech for like the last 20-25 years and he was telling me all these stories about the 510~ he said that it would eat a 240 alive even on the twisties and spit it out~ lol
