sack some 4-1 headers. personally i would get hotshots 4-2-1 (which i did) good midrange for our cars. unless your drivin a gsr (which i also do) and wrappin it out to 8 grand - get 4-1's. but ka's i would go with hotshots 4-2-1. good luck

I know a little bit about them... i know that the ka-e ones suck, because you have to dent the fire wall just to get the header in because of the o2 sensor, ( theres a thread about it, just search.) and i don't know about the ka-de ones, but it should be fine.

Anyone know what kinda numbers KAs get from hotshot headers? I was trying to see on their site, but they don't have any numbers for S14s....

Well I looked really hard for a dyno of just the Hot shot Header. I couldn't find one. Here is a dyno of a KA24de with Hotshot header/ASP pulley/and an Injen CAI....... Realtively 9WHP for the Hot shot alone, and it makes less torque than the DC sports header.......
I hope this helps....... DAMN this thread is old.....
The engine was Dyno tuned to about 144 HP 145 Ft-Lbs of torque

Negative on the Greddy headers. They were only available for the s14. Frankly, they don't work half as good as the Hotshot because they retain the cat. The reason they were discontinued is because they eventually CRACK at the collector. This happened to mine 3 times. The 3rd time i finally gave up and went with the Hotshot Header. I inspected my Greddy header after they replaced it with the Hotshot and it actually had HOLES in the darn thing from stess cracks. The metal is THIN and will eventually crack.

Fortunately they are not readily available anymore. This is the only glitch with Greddy. Otherwise they have good stuff.

I have the Greddy Header as well and was wondering if I should gut my Pre- Cat or even get a downpipe made? Then extend the Second o-2 sensor after my 3in Magnaflow Cat, and use Stock 2nd O-2 sensor bung for my Wideband. Or would it make sense to get a Hotshot and get a bung for Wideband installed. I'm reseting my ECU weekly anyway for an EGR issue.

no i wonder why all this talk ahs been about hotshot stillen and greddy... BigVin did a write up on his dc sports header, and so far i havent seen him whine and moan about it, so it may also be a viable option. just my 2 cents

Big Vin said the DC gives the best Torque, but personally I love the Top End so I'm Stuck at which route to take.

OOPS I should of clarified. I use the header for high end power as well. It only fell shy a few donkeys of the hot shot, something like .2HP if even that, it makes 8.8HP at the wheels on the dyno, hotshot claims 9hp at the wheel. The DC sports produced more torque than the hot shot by almost 1.5~2ft/lb.s........
Supposedly the ceramic coating on the DC sports also increases exhaust flow at higher RPMS, I found that to be pretty accurate since the collector size of the dcsports is only 2,1/8" in diameter.
