Question Running rough and stalling

Ok so I've had about enough of my mechanics b.s. I put my 240 in the shop about 2 months ago because i couldnt get the damn thing to start. Okay so after 6 and a half weeks he says i can come pick it up, $180 bucks later and all he did was reset the timing. the previous owner had changed the timing guide and set the timing 180 degrees off. anywayz i drove it home, ran like crap, he says it was because of bad gas, so i drain all thats left and fill 'er up with premium, well it still runs like junk. Ok so maybe there is still a little in the system, so i drive it to work. ha, go to leave and it wont start. so i give it back to him and said what was going on. Well now its been about 2 months again and he says he can get it going for about 10 minutes, idling real rough. I think its the fuel pump or the fuel filter, but he says he's checked every possible thing and isnt sure where to go. My question for you is, has anybody else had this kinda problem with a SOHC? if its something major i think im going to try and find a running ka that someone has swapped out here in helena and drag the car home and do the swap...please help

What is your Fuel Pressure?

Compression check on the cylinders?

Is the timing Chain aligned correctly on the sprockets?

Your mechanic is an idiot.
