You won't come close to touching 250 rwhp without a turbo unless you spend way more money than that. Stock cams won't cut it either.

Lets be realistic here please.

On about $1000.00 in bolt ons and ecu tuning the KA can peak at about 175WHP.Now when you look at a bone stock 2JZGTE it will make 174 WHP right out the box ( IT'S AN INLINE SIX) rated at (Really 116 crank horses) 220Horse power from the factory.
My KA24de makes 162 WHP with all bolt on's and SAFC tuning, on 95 octane. Thats not including that I used a paper filter, a 2.5" exhaust, and had timing stock at 20BTDC (theres still room for power!). Now depending if the KA you use has SCV's or not will determine that 175WHP peak on 95 octane.

Now for about $1200 you can spend money on head porting, extrude and honed intake manifold, and a high lift cam set and look at about 195WHP on stock9.2:1~ 9.5:1CR on 95 octane (truck and 240sx blocks).

So total so far is about $2200 spent on making 200WHP, and thats just a rough figure of course.

Now once you want to make more than 200WHP, larger injection cc and higher compression will need to be used. Typically the KA stock 270cc injectors will be using 100% of it's duty cycle, and stock fuel pressure will be maxed out.

So now you are looking at 370cc injectors, and high comporession SOHC pistons. You would be looking at about a $1000 for these parts and installation from a shop which I would recomend for honing the cylinder walls for imperfections, not to mention lets throw in another $300 for square decking the block. So lets add $1300 total for this upgrade.
Now the KA will make roughly 210WHP on an 11.1:1 compression on 100Octane. Total cost is going to be roughly $3500.

So your really asking to make 250 WHP eeh. The requirments needed.
An ATI Super dampener $400
Knife edged crank shaft, drilled snout to journal, drilled oil holes through main journals (GT3) $500
Dry sump oil system $1000
Vacuum system added to crank case to reduce crank case pressure $300
Lightened stock fly wheel $100
Wallbro or 300z (z32) fuel pump $150.00

Total for this package is $2450

So to make 250WHP @ 7400RPM on 100 Octane it will cost you relatively a GRAND TOTAL= $5950

maybe.

if what you want is a dot compliant dd, then id agree. although we can't be sure that it will pass a smog test until it's tested. otherwise i'd be more inclined to swap out the ka or turn to forced induction.

For 250whp, smog is out of the question.
I plan to keep my KA stock 9.5:1 CR do some port work, install some higher lift cams and cross my fingers to have a smogable 195~200WHP NA KA.

There is no product number listed on there web site for the KA ATI super damper. If you call ATI though they do have a dampener on file for the KA24de engine.

AMS is one of our vendors here talk to Chris and let him know your interest even if you can't pay for the crank now.

Hey Vin I was wondering, what Piston would net better results?

a 90.5mm Bore 10.5:1 C/R
Displacement = 2470cc
or
a 89.5mm Bore 11.0:1 C/R
Displacement = 2415cc

90.5mm bore at 10.5:1, because it reduces valve shrouding and has increased displacement.

Oh another Thing I forgot to add in, If I use the 90.5mm Bore Pistons, will I need to bore out the head to match it or is that stock head and an 91mm Bore Cometic MLS fine?

You can leave the head stock. Some people prefer to increase the quench, bu that is up to the builder.

Oh ok, yeah I was reading up on quench and heard is was good providing you have the right amount, and I didnt want the 1.5mm overbore to over do it and hurt performance. Thanx mang
