Serious ka24e problems
Serious ka24e problems
The motor is actually in a truck not a car but since it is similiar i was hoping some of you guys might be able to help.
I was driving my truck one night and it was running strong as can be. Then the next morning I went to start it and all it would do was crank over. I pulled the spark plugs and they were all firing properly and had good gaps so then I pulled the fuel line after the filter and it had good pressure.
I am at a loss because my truck is getting fuel and spark, I however didnt pull an injector to see if they were squirting good or not. I am hoping it is not something with the injectors because I had to replace them on my 240 and it got very expensive in a hurry.
So if anyone has a good idea or any idea at all it would be very helpful.

I went outside to go to work this morning and it started, but ran rough, almost like a misfire. About 2 miles into my journey it started dying when I put it in neutral and had to keep my foot on the gas when at a stop. Che check engine was also on.
I am going to check all vacum and all connections today.
Ok get this I took it to a friend of the family's shop and had it ran on a diagnotstic thingy and it showed up as a intake tempature sensor so I found that and it was unplugged. I plugged it in but then it wouldn't start again
Then I pulled the MAF and it was dirty so I cleaned it and it ran better after I put it in. The owner of the shop said it might just be bad because they said it was acting like the motor was confused and just giving itself two much fuel (it was pouring out black smoke). They also thought it might be the collant sensor telling the truck that it was colder than it actually was causing it to get more fuel and run rich that way. Anyway we pretty much narrowed it down to to much fuel whatever is causing it to run bad is making the computer give it too much fuel.
if anybody has an extra MAF or coolant sensor for cheap let me know and hopefully i will have an answer tomorrow.
