stalling when wet

hello everyone.

i have a 93 240 sx se. great car, except when wet.
When it rains or gets very damp my car will start to stumble when i push the on the gas. sometimes just barley pushing on the gas will cause backfires and major stumble, sometimes I only feel it under heavy acceleration. last time it almost would not start at all.
when the weather is warm the car runs great.
i did a complete tune up, plugs, wires, cap, everything i could think of. still does the same thing.
i think it might be the mass air meter but at a couple hunded bucks i want to be sure before i replace it.
i get no error codes or check engine light.
any suggestions?
thanx

it behaves the same hot, warm or cold.
maybe it gets worse as it gets warmer, but not much difference.
