Stripped Valve Cover Bolt

How do you get a stripped/stuck valve cover bolt out? It turns but it's not going anywhere and I wanna get my valve cover off because it's leaking oil. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Where do I attach it to? Cause I can get the socket on the head and it's tight, I just meant it's stripped inside, the bolt is freely spinning but it's not coming out. You know what I mean?

well if the head is on it, then use some plyers(spelling??? lol) and try to unscrew it while pullin up. If that dont work, cut off the head so u can get the valve cover off and then do the whole tap thing i said in my previous post.
