I don't know about this annoying *** sound. I say annoying cuz i can't figure out what it is. On closed throttle, there's this swooshing-type sound from the front of the car, and it's louder in the lower gears. in neutral the sound doesn't come up... so i say it's the tranny, but i installed a new clutch/press plate/ throwout bearing/ pilot bearing, and the sound's still there. what the hell could it be?

 

Maybe vacuum??

 

I don't know but my wife's Sentra started the same crap Friday morning.

It stopped now but I swore it sounded like it was coming from the exhaust.
