top DE with E bottom?

this question might be stupid.
I have a 1990 240sx with KA24E engine. I wonder would it work if I just replace the top part of the engine to make it "KA24DE".

if so do I have to change other parts like ECU and MAF? and Can I use my old Ka24E pistons. since I saw someone that they can give more horse power.

good find

it amazes me how poor nico is, yet they have some really smart members, I otherwise generally laugh at the site and the ego's and 16 year olds.

thats cool it can be done.

really, NICO has some kickass guys on there like the techs. and fiznat is becoming my hero more and more every day with his DIY articles.

on the other hand, there are some asses over there too. i just try to take whatever i can use from there and not mind the b.s. when it happens...

exactly the same way I see it, take what I can from those who know what they are doing, and avoid all the mess.
