MUHUHAHAHA the open diff strikes again!

That and the fact that a simple power-over just doesnt cut it sometimes.

Did my 5 spd swap a while ago and hit about 127 with my auto ecu. I think it won't go any faster bcuz i'm still runnin an open diff. I need a diff with better gearing. I'll see what happens when i get a diff in a couple of weeks.

what do you mean, like before the governor shut you down, or did you hit the rev limiter? And wether or not your diff is open doesnt make a difference, but the gear ratio does, which you already knew

when i was an auto my car wouldn't go past 115. It was the governor. When i did the 5spd swap it hits aprox 127-130. The tach stops at 5grand. I'm guessing i ran out of gears. I know the open diff doesn't matter, i guess i phrased it wrong. I meant to say the open diff gearing isn't high enough.

there is a rev limiter in 5th gear. push the clutch in and rev it in 5th gear and it'll bounce al day long. same goes for when you're moving.

do a search on yellow wire and you'll find your high speed solution. takes about 5 minutes if you're slow.

yea I know there's a rev limiter. It's the same as every other gear right?!?! When I hit 5grand in 5th the car just wouldn't go ne faster. I don't think that was the rev limiter. The car has another 1000 rpm to go and i wanna use it. Well I'll just see when I get the diff.

No it goes past 5k in everygear except 5th. In 5th gear it stops at 5000 rpm.
