I've searched for info on this but didn't hear anyone mention anything about DC Header, I live in Cali and the more stuff I have that is carb legal the better and DC makes carb legal Headers, are the Hot Shot Headers carb legal? And does anyone have or know some one with DC Headers and how fitment went and stuff like that?

DC sports makes awsome pieces. I used to run their stuff back when I was racing my CRX's.
I dont think alot of peopel know about them (or thought about it) because they are predominatly for Honda/Acura.

 

I was thinking maybe 240 owners were anti-DC because Honda and Acura use them alot, I have one on my Prelude and after four years it looks good as new and DC makes them for the 240sx and I will most likely buy one.

 

Alot of them are biased. But like I said. Alot of them only know the 240sx, so they wouldnt think to look at vendors like that.
Thsi is part of my "seek & ye shall find, mentality". If people actually look you find find parts in the most unlikely places.

I would highly recommend the DC..But most of them are dead set on the OBX or Hotshot. I dont mention it.

 

I'd run a DC header, I haven't seen anything but good quality everytime I see/install one.

 

I'd go with DC too, but its the same price as the hotshot. I was hoping the DC header would be a cheaper alternative to the expensive ones.

 

Quality costs money. The one I put on my car back in 1992 is still in use today.

But now AEM owns DC Sports ( bought out this year). SO now they are known as AEM/DC Sports

 

So does DC have a header for the KA that's CARB?

Actually let me rephrase this. That is the part number for the DE.

ALL of the DC headers are carb exempt BUT 50 state street legal. Because they are a direct decendants of Nissan( they devoloped parts for Nissan fo rthe race CRX back in 87or 88 I cant remember which)). So they dont need to meet the Air resource board standards.

BUT the race headers ARENOT street legal at all.

 

Difference between the two headers is how much performance wise?

 

They only make the one header for the DE.
