I dunno. My gas mileage really sucks, I think. How long does it take for injectors to foul out? I can feel my car shuddering sometimes, like a sliiiiight misfire, but I'm too lazy to check it out.

I mean, she runs great, idle is perfect. Only problems I really have is that "misfire" and my timing chain rattle...

Edit:

I didn't mean for that to sound random, but I'm thinking that "misfire" is the reason my gas mileage sucks ***.

mines not to bad as long as I drive normal which I usually do, when does the gas light kick on? I've never seen it and I've been at E before I just thought mine didnt work but I didnt want to find out the hard way.

I end up driving way past "E" but that may just be a quirk of my particular car. When I get the gas light, I'm usually at 300 miles or thereabouts on a full tank, and I know I can go another 50 before I'm in trouble. Of course, your mileage may vary...

well tonight I refilled, gas is like 2.59 a gallon or so so I prepay 30 thinkin that would be about full, I am at E and after 5 gallons, $15 it clicks so I try to keep goin and my gas overflows a lil I check the gauge and its full, now I was on the line and I dont think there is any way there is only 5 gallons between the Empty line and the Full line either my gauge is way off or that pump was messed up which would be a good thing in this situation, or I have about a 7-10 gallon reserve tank lol. just curious if this ever happened to anyone?

there is a 2 Gal reserve on altimas... the first gens have a 15.9 gal tank just like 240's... i'm guessing the reserve is the same.

BTW i just got 134 miles to a third a tank... i'm guessing i'll see 390+ with an easy foot.

if you guys want to get better gas mileage you might want to think about changing your O2 sensor. I changed mine like a month ago and got atleast 5 mile avg more. you might want to try it if you dont know when the last time yours was changed.

also change your coolant temperature sensor... 19.50 plus tax at autozone and worth every penny in gas savings.

if you're serious about saving though shell out 75 bux and have your gas tank cleaned out and the thing that leads to it sucked out along with the charcoal filters in cas of overflow...

i haven't done it but i've heard it's like driving the car off the showroom lot.

Something is definitely wrong with my car. I already did a tune up, replaced the O2 sensor & I'm still only getting about 16mpg at the most.
