Where is the egr valve located?

Where is the egr valve located?

The reason im asking is because i want to clean it.I mtrying to diagnose a acceleration problem,I already removed the AIV and it helped a bit.......

it's behind the intake manifold with a pipe that travels to the header.

it shouldn't create an acceleration problem, but it's on the passanger side at the back on a '92, not sure about a 91 though.

i am haveing a surging prob with my 240sx and i removed the aiv and it helped a bit also but it didn't clear it up. next i will be trying the tps and the o2 sensor. also i have heard others talk about a knock sensor but i am not sure on how or whom besides the dealer could go about diong this one.... if you guys find a solution then please let me know....

Does it mainly do it at idle? And surge between 500-1000rpm? If so, check all of your vacuum lines, mainly the one big on under your upper plenums (goes to the IACV, IIRC).
