im from jersey. dont have a 240 yet. im looking into one. i live in south amboy but my tools are in spotswood. im a gm retired tech so id like to meet some of you nissan guys for when i get mine. then i know how to work on it. i also have a mig if anyone needs some exhaust stuff done. its wierd crossing over from gm to nissan

 

Hey man, welcome to the Nissan world.
I actually like where GM is going with their cars, especially pontiac with their GTO and their Grand Prix.

Also, since you're a tech, you might know and can recommend some good people who can do a good job swapping my automatic transmission out for a manual.

 

isnt it just popping out the auto, remove the brake pedal assembly, instal a brake clutch assembly, clutch master cylender, get a manual crossmember, clutch, flywheel, and bam your done? hehe it sounds easy anyway. im sure 2-3 guys, some beers and a weekend it can get done. the gto sucks. id take one if it was given to me but thats about it. sure its 400hp but its also 3851lbs without driver. the grand prix is alright, but it took mine a cam, ported blower, rockers, ported exhaust manifolds, ported blower, liquid intercooler, special transmission, hardened cv's, a 3.0 pulley and it was good for 12.6, if i had slicks i could have maybe got a 12 flat. but even me doing the work myself, fabricating, used parts, trading i still spent 8000 plus the cost of the car. its to heavy to race and ureliable. the guy i sold it to has had problems here and there nothing major cause i did a good job, but even after buying the car from me he still put 3 grand in it. from now on if i get gm's it will be older ones with newer technology. anyway hit me up anytime if i got a clear schedual im up for chillin or wrenching

cool, im just up the road in south amboy. keep your eyes open for a nice 240 hatch. im still waiting for the damn insurance company to figure out whats with my saturn. there like well we are investigating the matter. im like whats to investigate a fricking tractor trailer changed lanes into my hood and fender. im not even po'd at the driver. he probablt never knew i was there but its been 3 weeks and i need a ride. soon.

maybe in like the second weekend in june we can get together and chill. i dont have a place for a mod day but i know a few local spots that can accomidate a few cars.

 

i'm definitely down, that would be hot!!!! i'd love to see some nissan love
