New '95 240 owner from NJ. What's up?

Hey guys, I'm the newly proud owner of a '95 240SX SE and I wanted to know what other NJ residents can fill me in on.

Stuff I'm curious about:

1. What happens at these meets that I see posted here?

2. Anyone know of good shops in NJ (preferably central, in or around Monmouth County) that you could recommend for anything 240 related?

3. Does anyone in here know a good place to get introduced to autocrossing?

4. Anyone know of any road courses or circuits in NJ or surrounding states (other than the one they're opening at Raceway Park in Englishtown, which is taking forever)?

5. Anyone in the Rutgers New Brunswick area?

Thanks for the info Josh. I actually live in East Brunswick with my grandmother during the semester, off of Rues Lane. I didn't know they had autocross events at e-town raceway, but I'll definitely have to keep and eye out 'cause I go there to see the drag races from time to time. It's finals time right now, and I'm graduating in May, but I'd definitely be interested in attending a meet in NJ when I come back for spring semester (plus it'll give me time to clean up my car a little).

rbboyl, do you live on campus? If so, where at? Do you have a lot of mods done to your car? I'd like to see it if you'd be down with that. Post here or email me at jsarnak@eden.rutgers.edu

I used to live on campus, but I commute now. I live 25 minutes away.

I'm on campus all the time though.

Yeah, I learned about the registry and looked your car up and saw the pic of it in the commuter lot next to the stadium, so I figured as much. I'm on Livingston most of the time as I go to the business school, so I'm always parked in the RAC lot.

Josh, I actually have yet to get the car on the road as I bought it two weeks ago from a dealership in PA, drove it home on temporary plates and insurance and they said the title would arrive in 2 weeks. Today is 2 weeks, so if it's not in my mailbox today I'm gonna be pissed. The point is that the car is uninsured due to not having the title yet, so going to ameet without my car is kinda pointless, but I also am pretty swamped until after X-mas with finals (I have 6 total). But I'll contact you when life settles down a bit and the beast is on the road officially.

Eh?!?! Who da heck do you who got a welder?!?! The stock is back on rite now...the greddy's jes chillin in my room in 2 pieces. I tried selling it for like $100 bucks but no takers. Dont really feel like wasting $300 on the damn thing but even tho i already think i did is that **** broke twice already. Well if you can hook me up b4 i leave id really appreciate it.

Yes, finals are killers. I have 5. Good luck on them.

I have one class on livingston, so I park in the RAC lot 2 times a week, not anymore tho, since class is over.

If you see my car around leave a note on the windshield, heh heh. I've always wanted to that when I saw a 240 around campus, but I'm always either in a hurry or too lazy to pull out a paper and pen.

Hey welcome to the site!

You can see more of what goes on at the meets here:

http://h10009.racknine.com/~admin57/

That is the site I set up for all of our meets and the crews that are involved.

We will be going to most if not all of the Englishtown events and Atco as well.

We eat, drink and hang out. Talk shop and trade parts.

You will enjoy the meets.

You are also more than welcome to come to the NY meets as well as the CT meets. Talk to your local 240sx head.

You can also hit me on AIM at Stanbo47
